Heralding the start of the new season the 2012 JOSEPH First Run Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the first and freshest oil to be released from an outstanding growing season. As the name suggests, this Australian gourmet icon is the very first run of oil from the harvest\'s first crop. The oil yield per tonne is very low but the olive fruit characters are at their strongest.

Joe first knocked on the door of olive growers in Adelaide\'s Willunga Hills back in 1989 to make one of the first Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oils. Twenty one years later Joe still works with many of the same growers and has seen the groves ripen into full maturity with the oils getting better and better each year.

2012 JOSEPH First Run is a blend of the classic Italian varieties Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino and Coratina with the Greek olive Koroneiki. It is Joe\'s winemaker\'s palate in the blending that makes this oil so special.
